Momentous Day

Yesterday was a big day in my world. Yes, it was January 3. Yes, it was a Thursday. I did make it to work on time. Yes, the girls were great last night. I had 2 friends call to catch up and make my day.

The reason it is momentous: I paid off our debt. We are now out of debt. Well, except for our mortgage. I'm not a wizard or anything so that will be with us for awhile. SO that means: no car payment, no loan from finishing our basement, no student loans, no credit cards. What a fabulous feeling.

So I'll give a little love to Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. Thanks to my friend Emma for introducing, group leading, cheering me to financial freedom!

WOO HOO! Go me!

Wahoo! YOU ROCK!

I've heard great things about Financial Peace and tried to listen to Dave's audiotapes but I didn't like the sound of him at all and his tactics sounded a bit KGB to me. I'm just not sure about that.

But, maybe I shouldn't talk as my checkbook NEVER balances.

Yes, I think I will just shut my mouth.

When I paid off my debt in adulthood it was terrifying to be without it. It was crazy how addicted to a balance that I had become.

I was a tad out of control this year, but not enough to have anxiety about. It will be fun to start getting the card paid off, knowing that I did it before.

CONGRATS!

I'm a so excited for you! What a great feeling. I like Dave Ramsey---he is sort of hardcore, but I think you have to be in his line of work otherwise everyone will justify anything.

Congrats!

And, man, I just can't get over how amazing you are: hubby is gone, you work, you raise kids, you run, and you pay off debt! WOW~
