Whenever Allison and I are having a different view on things, she will ask for grandma or grandpa. I tell her they are not here, they are far, far away. We will go over this a few times an hour it seems, even after the rough patch is gone and forgotten.
While with my parents this week, Allison looked at my dad and said "Allison far, far away?" To which my dad answered "yes, Allison is far, far away." I was filled with joy and warmth when he told me this. My girl is growing and comprehending SO much. yippee!
But later, I was still far, far away. I am amazed at how alone this has been. I have slept quite a bit, and been running a fever and just feeling awful. Hopefully this experience will allow me to truely appreciate the joys that come from parenting. The love I feel for my little family (Shane, Allison, and Emily) who are all far, far away.

That is so sweet what Allison said! I love that!
I know you are lonely but resting up and taking care of yourself is important too. :)
I'm here whenever you need a friend or a shoulder.
xoxoxoxoxox...!!!
It's so hard for your children to be "far, far away" (no matter how old they get). I speak from experience.
I hope you are resting up and getting better.

That is precious---were you just a pile of goo after that?
As much as I love ME time, I find that I miss everyone a lot too---so much sometimes that I'm completely unproductive. :)
I hope you're back to normal!
You know as much as I miss them, that feeling leaves so quickly after I'm back in there presence. It never lasts long in all of the screaming...
I am sorry you are still feeling poorly! *hugs*
That is so smart of her to put two and two together - it makes your Mommy heart burst with pride when they figure some big concept out like that, doesn't it?
