This week I am going to cover the life and times of my two and a half year old Allison. I was looking back through my post and I saw a lot of Emily. So here is Miss Allison. I have a few stories to tell about Allison this week. (Keep in mind all the stuff I tell you about happened this week.)

"You gotta be kidding me" moment: I was in the bathroom when this occurred. The dog was sporting a similar look down the middle of his back.
"Who knew" moment: I was changing an especially yucky diaper of Emily's when Allison started squawking. Allison and I had been enjoying some popcorn and Wheel of Fortune before Emily interrupted us with her bowel movement outburst. I attempted to placate Allison saying "be patient, I'll finish with Emily, then I'll help you." Then I notice what she as been saying: "I broke! I broke!" Amazed at how many shades of green can be in one diaper I reply "You broke what, honey?" She continued her "broke" chorus and came to the changing table. Miss Allison is rather upset at this point, so Emily got a little air out time as I addressed the situation fully. I ask Allison "Honey what did you break?" She was pointing to her face. I got down to kid level to assess the scene. I look in her mouth thinking she bit her tongue. No blood. I notice popcorn kernels in her hand. Then I see the problem:
Popcorn kernel + right nostril= freaked out little girl.
My Initial Reaction: Huh, now what? But never fear dear reader, the seasoned pediatric health care pro came flying out of moth balls. I gently slide my finger from top of the nostril down, and out came the offensive popcorn kernel and some snot. After a hug and kisses and "all better", play broke out again. Emily's diaper change was completed. Life moved on. I'm still scratching my head. Who knew something like that could happen?

Best Moment: Allison went to her 1st Mizzou game! Yea for us! Allison and I needed a little 1-on-1 time. Since we have been sick, Allison has been a little (or a lot) difficult at times. I have seen more throw-myself-on-the-floor-and-cry-like-a-baby tantrums the past 2 weeks than I have in 6 months. So I figure she is feeling a lack of attention.
We had a pretty good time. We went for the 2nd half. Ain't noway I was going to try a whole game. That would have been sanity suicide on my part. When we got there our seats were full of kids! This is a great thing since people with kids are going to be more likely to NOT care when my 2 year old starts screaming. Woo hoo. She wasn't scared when the Army ROTC fired the canon with each score. She didn't mind when the entire stadium erupted on a missed pass interference call. She almost caught on to MIZ-ZOU chant. The "student" side of the stadium will yell "M_I_Z". Our side of the stadium returns with "Z-O-U". Allison decided Z-O-I sounded better. She did cheer and wave her arms around when good things happened. She was waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy more shy than I thought she would be. She wouldn't make eye-camera contact for our picture!

Momma Moment: It was great for me to watch Allison watch the world. I was really excited to share the game with her. But it got difficult explaining why she was in her daddy's seat. "Too bad your husband had to be out of town for such a great game" "Yeah, my dad has come to other games, since Shane has been deployed." The comment was out of my mouth before I had time to think. Not a bad thing to say, but it brought on the wishes of support and thanks to my family that I can't accept gracefully. The tears didn't escape this time, thank goodness, but they were there. They always seem to be near the surface when I'm caught off guard. I hate being such a girl! I wish I could re-program myself to not cry unless medically necessary. God gave us girls lots of special features.
I guess that could go on the wish list after octopus arms....

Yes Ms. Karen Beth, that is dog food. Dog food that has been dowsed with dog water. I don't think she ate any..... But really, who knows!
We have the same monkey for Bec, yet Ivy is the one that always wants to either wear it, or walk him.
She is beautiful! Bec loves dog food too. It is so interesting.
if my family ever commented (!) on the here blog, ya'll would learn about little Natalie and here various tendencies. My mom might say Allison comes by the dog food eating by her maternal genetics......
But they won't comment, so I'm safe! :)
