what a week

I don't know about you, but motherhood has taken a turn for the more interesting. This a picture of my week. Starting Tuesday evening with a 6 month old with a 102F fever. Mommy staying home from work Wednesday, and Grandma coming for re-enforcement. Thursday Allison developed a bad attitude and red-eyes. Friday doctor's appointment that took wwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy longer than I would have liked. But we did find out that Allison has bilateral ear infections with conjuctivitis to go with. So Amoxicillin, Ibuprophen, Tylenol, and Gripe Water for a little girl's gassy belly. Then Saturday at the football game, I was shivering while everyone else was shedding clothes. Hmmmm, not a rocket scientist, but I think I might have a cold. So at 6pm, Saturday evening I was on my way to Urgent Care with 103F temperature. The saga doesn't end there though. No, no! A strep swap, Flu swabs, chest Xray, and some Tylenol later, I went home without an answer. But it all became much clearer at 4am. I woke up because my left breast hurt. So I pumped, no biggy. Then I noticed the red streaks and the pain. Okay all you lactators, say it with me: Mastitis. YEEOOWW. The doctor called me at 8:30 Sunday morning, and I told him my suspicions. The doctor had me come back in to Urgent Care. He looked at my breast and quickly agreed with my diagnosis. Augmentin for me! woo hoo.

This is the cutsie poo Emily getting ready for a bath with Grandma Carolyn. I am so grateful my mom can take the time to come up here and rescue us. I know she says this is what retirement is for, but I am still the most fortunate person I know in regards to my parents. They have been there through all sorts of stuff and dont seem to be running away.

Yea for me ;)

Owwie. Ouch. Ick.

You poor thing. And poor baby too. It all sounds miserable.

Any cure for the bad attitude? Ivy seems to have a big case of that lately!
